Public engagement
CUBIC is passionate about enhancing public understanding of brain structure and function through public engagement. Neuroscientists at CUBIC engage with a variety of audiences including school and university students, and the local Surrey community, and are particularly focused on providing educational opportunities to those from disadvantaged and minority backgrounds. Everyone at CUBIC is encouraged to participate in activities to generate mutual benefit and enhance the quality and impact of our research.

Royal Holloway Neuroscience Showcase
In March 2026, CUBIC researchers at Royal Holloway hosted a celebration of neuroscience research and teaching across the departments of Psychology and Biological Sciences – an event supported by the British Neuroscience Association.

Pint of Science, Egham
Egham is one of 43 locations that host “Pint of Science” in the UK! CUBIC researchers are routinely involved in the organisation of this event, which features a selection of exciting talks from neuroscientists and psychologists across the Department of Psychology at Royal Holloway.
